NOTE: Every player needs to have a current AAU number.  If your player does not have one, please register with AAU here.

Jr. Warriors Spring Hockey Registration

The Jr. Warriors is pleased to announce our spring hockey programs. Our objectives are to offer a comprehensive program designed to improve each child’s fundamental skills, game skills, and confidence. Our programs will run from March 30th - May 20nd. We will offer programs for the following age group:

 

We will again offer two programs this spring designed to accommodate all interest and skill levels:

Mite Travel Development Program (2012 & 2013)

The Mite  Travel  Development  Program  (AKA,  the  MDP)  is  designed  for  aspiring  and  current  travel players. 

The program  will  be on  the ice an average  of  three  times  weekly. The format  will  include:

  • Weekly  skills  on Tuesdays  with Head Skills  Instructor  Ryan Davlantes  and Hockey  Director  DJ LaVarre.  The focus  of  these sessions  will  be  to improve each child’s  core skills  using stationbased training to maximize reps.
  • Weekly Small  Area  Games/3 on 3 sessions  on Friday  nights  at  Winnetka or  NSIA.
  • Six full-ice games  with  area programs  (Wilmette,  Northbrook,  Glenview,  etc.)
  • Four “Specialized Clinics”  featuring guest  instructors  (TBA).
  • Goalies  will  also receive weekly  clinics  led  by  Stu Gould  and  Eric  Bragnola  of  Good  as  Gould Goalie Schools.
  • Participation in The Glacier  Invitational  the final  weekend  of  the  program  -  May  15-17

The goal  is  to form  at  least  four  teams  based  on participation.

Fee:  $735

Spring ADM (2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015)

This  program  is  perfect  for  the child that  participated in Minor  Mite,  Learn to Skate,  is  moving up from the Learn to Skate program  offered by  the  Park  District  or  is  planning on participating in the House program  next  season. 

The program  will  meet  on  Wednesdays  at  5:40  p.m.  and  Fridays  5:25  p.m. at Winnetka  Ice Arena.  Each session will  consist  of  30 minutes  devoted to skill  development  in small stations  to  maximize reps.  The last  30  minutes  will  be  cross-ice games  designed to  allow  all  participants to maximize  “touches”  and puck  skills. 

The program  includes  13  one-hour  ice  sessions.  

Dates:  Wednesday,  April  1  –  May  20,  2020. 

There is  no ice  on May  1 or  May  15.

Fee:  $350  (fee includes  jersey)
